Rams fan Bob Lee and his registration plate |
Rams fan Bob Lee finds himself now based in San Diego and is missing his visits to Pride Park.
Bob is planning a trip in 2007 but also has a novel way of showing his support when out on the road, as he explains in his e-mail to us copied in below.
I'm a long-time Rams fan who moved to San Diego just after the infamous 1994 play-offs with Millwall.
Sadly the last Rams game I saw was in July of 1999 when the Rams played USA in Denver, myself and two others made the 3,000-mile round-trip drive to watch my beloved Rams.
As you can see I now have sole rights to this great California plate "DERBY". I am planning to make my first visit to Pride Park in April and eagerly await seeing my long-lost Rams.
I attended many, many games through the 1980s and 90s and was also in the Leicester/Loughborough branch of the supporters club. I was a devout Ossie-ender.
I look forward to once again seeing the best supporters in the world.
Are you a far-flung Rams fan? Do you have a tale to tell from your trip overseas?
If so, e-mail webmaster@dcfc.co.uk with your story and a picture to be featured on these pages.
