Season ticket holder Steve White brings his update from a journey to Germany.

I am a season ticket holder in the North East Corner with my dad. I am also a soldier based in the area around Hannover.

I managed to get a ticket to the Trinidad game as I am a member of Englandfans. However the Army would not give me the time off work.

I missed the afternoon at work and caught the train to Nurnburg, 350 miles away. I went to the game, watched the Sweden game straight after at the Fanfest.

I left Nurnburg at 1.30am and got the train back to Hannover. I got back to my room for 7am and went straight to work at 8am.

Here is a picture of the Trinidad opening game.

I also travelled to Koln to watch the next game in the Fanfest. Caught the train again after work, met up with more soldiers on the train. Again we partied until 1.30am and caught the train home. Arrived home at 6am and in work again at 8am.

Stutgart was a bit far so went into Hannover for that game. Was also in Hannover when the Swiss took over after beating South Korea in the Hannover 96 ground. Excellent party atmosphere.

I also went to Gelsenkirchen for the Portugal game, in the fanzone with about 120,000 other fans. Again we used the trains, we did not pay more than £40 for any return train journey, beats UK hands down for value.

I am still in Germany, will be home in Derby for our first home game. Weather out here is around 30 degrees or higher everyday and has been since the start of the World Cup.

I was lucky I live out here but I have had an excellent time at the World Cup.

Hopefully see you all at the new Wembley for the Rams winning the FA Cup.
