Egyptian midfielder Hossam Ghaly arrived at Pride Park in the January 2008 transfer window and penned a loan deal from Tottenham Hotspur until the end of the season.
The international was a product of the Al-Ahly youth team before moving to Dutch side Feyenoord in 2003.
He played almost 50 games in the Eredivisie before Spurs snapped him up in January 2006 and he made a good early impact.
Ghaly played 34 games for Spurs but didn't feature this season after a proposed move to Birmingham City fell through in August.
