Derby County's scheduled pre-season friendly against Matlock Town is to be re-arranged.

The Rams were due to travel to take on the UniBond League club on July 30 ahead of the 2008/09 Coca-Cola Championship campaign.

But a new date will have to be found in the schedules as there is a first-team friendly away to Rushden and Diamonds the previous night while the club's Academy players will now be away on their own pre-season trip.

The game has been designated as a fundraiser for the new stand appeal at Matlock's Geoquip Stadium and will take place during 2008/09.

Derby's pre-season plans will include friendlies at Burton Albion (July 16), Rotherham United (July 19), Oldham Athletic (July 23) and Lincoln City (July 26).

Dutch side FC Utrecht will visit Pride Park Stadium on August 2 while there will also be a trip to Holland for boss Paul Jewell and his squad.
