Marc Edworthy wants to see the Rams finish their Premier League season with a flourish as a reward for the fans.

Three games remain of a difficult 2007/08 campaign with Derby heading back to the Coca-Cola Championship after just one season in the top-flight.

But one aspect that hasn't faltered is the level of support both home and away.

And ahead of another likely sell-out against Arsneal on Monday, Edworthy was quick to insist that the players still have a huge motivation.

"There are three games to go and the paying public want to see us do well," he said in an exclusive chat with The Ram and www.dcfc.co.uk.

"The fans have been absolutely fantastic all season - as thhey have been throughout my three years here.

"They have been a delight to play for and deserve a huge pat on the back.

"Of course we want to get those 15 points if we can as we don't want to be labelled the worst side ever in the Premier League.

"The pressure is off because unfortunately we are down but we want to give a good account of ourselves in the final three games and give the fans something to cheer about.

"We will be trying our best to get those points."

But Edy is expecting no sympathy from the Gunners, who are out of the Premier League title race but still have an outside chance of finishing second.

Arsenal's form has dipped dramatically in recent months but they still possess a stellar squad packed full of quality.

"They have top-quality players in extra position - you are watching for the whole players, not just a few," Edy added.

"It will be another good game and hopefully we can give a good account of ourselves."
