TERNENT THE MAN FOR TERRIERS
Derby County can confirm they have given permission to Stan Ternent to join Huddersfield Town. The Yorkshire club are seeking to fill the vacant manager's position.
Stan, 61, was appointed assistant manager to Paul Jewell five months ago.
Rams chairman of football Adam Pearson said: "I would like to thank Stan Ternent for the hard work he has put in for Derby County and the support he has given Paul Jewell.
"We have given him permission to join Huddersfield Town as their manager. We have not sought any compensation from Huddersfield.
"We already have a new assistant lined up and ready to start work tomorrow (Friday). I am very excited about the future of the coaching staff moving forward, as is Paul Jewell.
"The new assistant has a proven pedigree and a top-class record and is someone well known to Paul."
