Mile Sterjovski will play anywhere in a Derby County shirt if it means he's helping the Rams progress.

The Australian arrived in January with a reputation of versatility but has spent most of his time on the right of midfield so far.

However in Saturday's defeat at West Ham he began through the middle before spending time on both flanks as the game progressed.

And he told www.dcfc.co.uk that he's happy playing anywhere.

"I enjoyed playing in all of the positions," the 28-year-old said of his performance at the Boleyn Ground.

"I loved being on the pitch and whichever way I can help the team I will do it.

"It was good to play up front as I have not played there for quite a while and I enjoyed it.

"In each role you have to do different things.

"Up front it akes a bit of getting used too and with more games, if the gaffer wants to play me there, I think I can improve.

"I have played in a few different positions in the past and I always want to do my best."

Along with his efforts on the field, Sterjovski has also been busy off it as the Rams prepare for next season.

His fellow countryman Ruben Zadkovich has signed a two-year deal to join the club this summer on a free transfer after leaving Sydney FC.

Sterjovski has been selling the virtues of a move to Pride Park to the 21-year-old.

"I think Ruben is a good young player," he said of the former Notts County man.

"He will fit into the plans quite well - he is a positive player who will do really well at Derby.

"I had dinner with him when he came over and explained what the club is all about.

"It is a big club but unfortunately the results have not gone our way this season."
