VOTE FOR YOUR 2007/08 PLAYER OF THE YEAR
It's that time of year again when we ask you the fans of Derby County to nominate a winner of the Jack Stamps Player of the Year Trophy.
It's a free vote which, this season, includes THE FANS.
Manager Paul Jewell and the Rams' Board of Directors have consistently praised the amazing loyalty of Derby County supporters during a tough season in the Premier League, and if you reckon that means you have been the team's best player this time around, then the vote is yours.
Simply email your choice to us at matt.reeder@dcfc.co.uk, marking the subject heading as Player of the Year.
Alternatively you can complete the form at the bottom of page 23 of Saturday's edition of The Ram and post it back to us at Player of the Year, Pride Park Stadium, Derby DE24 8XL, or drop it into the Player of the Year voting box in shopDCFC.
In all cases include your own name and address and a daytime contact number because all votes for the eventual winner will go into a free draw for a money-can't-buy prize - a place in the official 2008/09 first team photocall!
The Jack Stamps Trophy was inaugurated 40 years ago when the first winner was Rams legend Roy McFarland.
Other famous names to receive the trophy down the years have included John O'Hare, Dave Mackay, Colin Todd, Kevin Hector, Charlie George, Archie Gemmill, Mark Wright, Dean Saunders, Ted McMinn and Mart Poom.
The most recent winners have been Youl Mawene in 2003/04, Inigo Idiakez in 04/05, Tommy Smith is 05/06 and, last season, Steve Howard.
The famous trophy will be presented ahead of the last game of the season against Reading on Sunday May 11.
The winner of the Sammy Crooks Trophy for the Young Player of the Year, also due to be awarded before kick-off against Reading, is selected by manager Paul Jewell.
