STERJOVSKI'S PRAISE FOR THE FANS
Mile Sterjovski has praised the loyalty of the Derby County supporters as the club prepares for a busy weekend of season ticket sales.
The Australian international was called into unfamiliar action on Thursday afternoon as he helped out with sales in shopDCFC.
And with the price freeze cut-off point just around the corner, Sterjovski was glowing in his verdict.
"Coming in to shopDCFC and getting behind the till to help sell season tickets was a very enjoyable experience," he revealed to RamsWorld.
"I spoke to quite a few of the fans we met and they were all really positive - I have said before that they are the best supporters I have ever experienced.
"It just goes to show how loyal they are, already buying their season tickets for next season.
"They are going to be right behind us and pushing us on to come straight back up."
Prices have been frozen at last year's levels for existing season ticket holders who renew early - and current gold members.
But the cut-off point for the current deals is midnight on Saturday, meaning fans who haven't yet taken advantage haven't got long left to do so.
Extra staff have been drafted in to cope with demand on Saturday and the ticket office will remain open after the game against Aston Villa for as long as required.
The Villa clash is likely to be witnessed by yet another sell-out crowd, another fact that cheers Sterjovski.
He added: "Hopefully we can give them something to cheer about and bounce straight back next season.
"It is not going to be easy next year but we have got the players and the coaching staff to do it.
"I'm looking forward to it and I would love to come straight back up next season."
