It was appropriate that lifelong Rams fans Roy and Barbara Robinson should celebrate a very special day last weekend - at a Derby County home match.

The Oakwood couple marked their diamond wedding anniversary on the day of the Fulham match last Saturday, and club Chairman Andy Appleby met them pitchside before kick-off to present a '60' shirt.

Roy and Barbara, who have season tickets in the Toyota West Stand with a group of family and friends, are renewing again in 2008-09, and told dcfc.co.uk: "Despite the match result not being what we would have liked, we had a most enjoyable day and appreciate Mr Appleby taking the trouble to come and greet us. We do appreciate the pressures of being club Chairman, particularly on a match day, so his courtesy and understanding gives us great hope for the club's future."
