KENNY AND EDDIE FIND THE TARGET
Rams pair Kenny Miller and Eddie Lewis had their shooting boots on with a pair of international strikes on Wednesday night.
Striker Miller took his tally to 11 in Scotland colours with a fine equaliser to earn a 1-1 draw against Croatia.
And winger Lewis reached the same figure late in the USA's 3-0 win in Poland thanks to a delightful curling free-kick from 20 yards.
For Miller it was a first chance to impress new Scotland boss George Burley.
And the 28-year-old was impressed with the way the Scots bounced back after going behind to Niko Kranjcar's early strike.
"Going 1-0 down was a disappointment - it was a really good goal the lad scored," he said.
"But it was good to get the result after going one down.
"We've not had a lot of time to prepare for the game but I think we put what the manager wanted us to do into practice quite well."
Lewis, meanwhile, was particularly boosted by the way the States turned over a side preparing for this summer's European Championships.
The 33-year-old, who had only been on as a substitute for nine minutes before his goal, said: "It's a big result. In general we haven't be the best in Europe, but over the last year or two we've certainly got better.
"To beat a team that is in the European Championship and having qualified so soundly is definitely huge.
"For everyone to be involved and get a result like that is great."

Elsewhere in the international scene, Jay McEveley and Gary Teale added to their caps collections for Scotland.
Defender McEveley was introduced after 62 minutes against Croatia while winger Teale, on loan to Plymouth Argyle, arrived as a substitute four minutes later.
Stephen Pearson missed out on the game due to a hernia problem.
Benny Feilhaber got five minutes as a late substitute for the States, while Lewis Price and Lewin Nyatanga were invovled for Wales.
Goalkeeper Price played for the first half of the 2-0 win in Luxembourg before being replaced by debut-maker Boaz Myhill, of Hull City.
Defender Nyatanga, on loan to Barnsley, played for the full 90 minutes and saw an early goal ruled out for offside.
Mile Sterjovski and Roy Carroll missed out on appearances for Australia and Northern Ireland respectively due to groin problems.
