David Jones is re-emerging from the shadows at Derby County but admits he still has a soft spot for Saturday's opponents Manchester United.
Brought up in football at Old Trafford, the midfielder, so influential in the Rams' promotion season, followed his goal as a substitute in midweek at Stamford Bridge with an accomplished performance in central midfield against his former club on Saturday.
In a frustrating season blighted by injury, he got the nod for a starting place ahead of Hossam Ghaly as the reigning champions visited a packed and passionate Pride Park Stadium.
And the quietly spoken Jonah was unequivocal when asked who would win this year's Premier League title. "Man United will win the League," he told RamsWorld in an interview to be broadcast for subscribers on Monday.
"Saturday's game wasn't about me showing people what I can do - it was a chance to play against a top team. I love Man United as a club because they were really good to me. The chance to play there as a youngster doesn't happen very often. It's difficult to break through to the first team because they have so many top players, but the experience was still special."
Of the game itself, Jonah added: "We feel as if we held them for 75 minutes. We rode our luck at times but we created a lot of chances and we regained some pride.
"Ronaldo took his chance and that's what quality players do."
The midfielder, signed from United for £1-million and the Rams' dead-ball specialist this time last season when he scored some stunning goals, went close to scoring on Saturday and added: "It would have been nice to score specially as we were in the game against United whereas on Wednesday my goal at Chelsea was just a consolation. Hopefully we can lift it for the rest of the season now.
"We played some good football and we need to have the same enthusiasm and passion and pride for the rest of the matches as we showed against United. It was only my fourth or fifth start of the season so it was nice to get a chance having put forward my case at Chelsea when I thought I put in a neat and tidy performance as a substitute."
