Roy Carroll insists there is still plenty to play for as the Rams embark on their final nine games of the Premier League season.

Derby find themselves marooned at the bottom of the table with just ten points to their name and need a remarkable turnaround if they are to escape an immediate return to the Championship.

Their sights are set first on topping 15 points - the current lowest Premier League total in a 38-game season, recorded by Sunderland in 2005/06.

Speaking exclusively with www.dcfc.co.uk and The Ram this week, Carroll said: "I know people say that the season is dead but it is not - we are still concentrating on that 15 points.

"Hopefully we can build for next season but I am trying not to look too far ahead, I'm trying to look to the next games.

"You don't want to be going down with the lowest points total and have that on your CV.

"Being relegated is heartbreaking enough so hopefully we can get over that mark and push on for next season.

"The manager here knows what to do, he has done it before, and with everything we have got in place at the club I think we can do well."

A full feature with Roy Carroll will appear in Saturday's edition of The Ram, available at Pride Park Stadium for just £3.
