With Derby County announcing a price freeze on 2008-09 season ticket prices, Rams manager Paul Jewell speaks of how important you - the fans - are and his vision for the future of your "great, great club".

Talking to RamsWorld - available to subscribers later today - ahead of the team's trip to Stamford Bridge, to face Chelsea Jewell said: "All I can say to you the fans is a huge thank-you, you have been fantastic since I have been here.

"The support has been nothing but positive, even with the results we have had.

"Come back next year and get behind the team - as you have done this year. You have been terrific and we will try to give you something to shout about next year, as it has been a test for you - you deserve that.

"Your support is vital, vital to the future, because without  your support the club just goes away.

"I see hope for the future, the club has been taken over by new owners and there will certainly be a feel good factor around the place next season.

"We spent last weekend scouting all over Europe, looking at different games, trying to get the players in to make a sustained challenge next season.

"We know the type of player we want, the players we want to bring here - the hard work has already started.

"We want to be in a position to start next season well and hit the ground running.

"Derby County is a great, great club with huge support - loyal support - and hopefully next year we can give you, the fans, something to shout about and then become more competitive in the Premier League."
