Roy Keane's first match in charge of Sunderland was at Pride Park Stadium - and now he's heading back with a lot of water under the bridge.

Keane brings his Black Cats down the A1 tomorrow still searching for their first away win of the season.

Both teams now find themselves in the Premier League and it's a far cry from that clash in September 2006 which left the Rams 22nd and Sunderland 20th in the Championship.

"What do I remember about it?" he said in conversation with Sunderland's official website.

"I was a bit nervous but that's what life is all about, you get out of your comfort zone.

"It was my first game as a manager and there was a big build-up.

"We got a good win and that was nice. I remember the atmosphere that day, I remember how good our supporters were and they have been brilliant ever since.

"We have to give them something to shout about tomorrow.

"I'll try to pick the right team, like I did then, and if we get the same result it will be just as important, if not more important."
