It's Derby County President Tom Glick's official first day at his Pride Park Stadium desk on Monday - and he can't wait to get started.

Tom, who flew in from the USA this weekend, will be living in Derbyshire with his family as he runs the Rams' day-to-day operation.

He said: "This is a challenging and exciting time. The first thing I want to ensure is that this season in the Premier League doesn't lose momentum.

"We are conscious of course of the team's position in the league right now, but there are still new targets we can achieve and pride and points we can win on behalf of Derby County fans.

"There are headline home games of course against Manchester United and Arsenal, but I want every remaining match to be special for the club and for its loyal supporters, starting with the visit of Sunderland on March 1.

"To say I can't wait to get started at Derby County is an understatement. I have spent the last two weeks, since the Manchester City match, back in the States sorting out details with our family's move and preparing for our new life in England. As you can imagine, my mind has been in Derby the entire time.

"The emails sent to me by fans have been helpful and most have underlined what we knew all along - Derby County is a club rich in tradition and we need to be respectful of its past while we plan for its future.

"I look forward to meeting with representatives of three supporter organisations here at Pride Park on Tuesday and I can promise Rams fans I will be listening very carefully to their comments over the coming days, months and years."
