"It's fantastic to finish the season in this way - we've been up there for most of the campaign and it's nice to cross the line.

"They always say that third place struggles in the play-offs but we were resilient, it was a fantastic team effort and it's a great feeling to win.

"We're hard to beat. We've got that resilience, the players stick together, and the lads who weren't in the squad have played their part.

"It's been a huge team effort, the staff, the squad, everyone together in the background, and if you put all that together you've got a good combination.

"I've heard a lot of reports about the new Wembley and it's a special place, a fantastic arena that's worth the wait.

"I'm sure our fans enjoyed it - they gave us fantastic support once again - and it's great for them to say they've won at the new Wembley.

"I was out of breath at the top of the stairs! It's always nice to get up there as if you lose you don't get the chance in a play-off final.

"I was fortunate to win at the old Wembley (with Crystal Palace in 1997), and now I've won at the new Wembley too.

"You've got to enjoy the good times when they come along, cherish them, and when the bad times come along you've got to ride them out.

"We're going to enjoy this occasion. It's been a fantastic season and to finish it like this is even better.

"All the promotions I've had are individual in their own way.

"I had a fantastic time at Palace, I was lucky enough to win at the Millennium Stadium with Wolves (in 2003) and now winning with Derby is good because it's been a brilliant season.

"They are all individual but to win the play-offs three times is fantastic."
