The Pride Park Stadium branch of Starbucks opens its doors to the public for the first time at 7am on Monday.

Situated in the former Baseball Bar and Grill premises, the new Starbucks will be open seven days a week - including match days - serving visitors to the stadium, its extensive conference facilities and the planned Pride Plaza project.

The new store will be operated in partnership by Starbucks Coffee Company (UK) Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Starbucks Corporation (Nasdaq: SBUX), and Lindley Catering.

The partnership will see the creation of around 20 new jobs in the 2,500 sq ft store.

Under the licensing agreement, the store will be operated by Lindley Catering in line with Starbucks brand guidelines.

Starbucks will provide products such as coffee, food and merchandise as well as training, operational and marketing support.

The new licensed store will deliver exactly the same high standards that customers have come to expect from Starbucks elsewhere.

The introduction of Starbucks licensing to the UK in 2005 has been a significant development for the company, which has enabled them to share the Starbucks Experience with new customers in locations which previously would not have been accessible to the brand, such as hotels, transport hubs, business centres and universities.

Such partnerships have run successfully in the United States since 1996, with around 2,000 Starbucks licensed stores and 4,400 company-operated stores.
