Derby County Football Club have continued their immense work in the local community by sponsoring Derby College Team 84 of the Prince's Trust Team Programme.

The programme is a 12-week course of personal development and training which aims to give young people the opportunity to develop team working and communication skills, improve motivation and self confidence and a chance to build an incentive for the future.

Through a long-term partnership with the Premier League, PFA and Football Foundation the Prince's Trust is working to use the power of football to change young lives in the UK.

Derby County have kindly given their time and provided facilities for the team over the past three months.

The club hosted training sessions for Team 84, who were put through their paces by professional coaches at the clubs training ground at Oakwood and at the JJB centre on Pride Park.

Derby County also sponsored the team's community project at Nightingale Junior School in Allenton.

The Club helped the team raise money by providing prizes for a fundraising pub quiz, which included a football signed by all the players.

The team, with Derby County's support, managed to raise over £500 for the project.

Team 84 then redecorated the school's playground, which included a life size Rammie mural painted onto the wall.

Rammie himself even made an appearance for the opening ceremony at the school.

Team 84 were invited to Pride Park Stadium to develop their job interview skills and the club's press officer Chris Kershaw and human resources manager Mark Lloyd took time to answer questions about their job roles and give advice to the team.

The team were also taken on a tour of the stadium and were presented with free tickets to the pre-season match against Espanyol.

Team 84 gave their final presentation on August 23 at Pride Park Stadium in the Brian Clough Suite where they shared an account of their experiences and their ambitions for the future.

Team 84, Derby College and The Prince's Trust thank everyone at DCFC for their generosity and assistance during the 12 weeks and a special thank you goes to Simon Carnall for his constant support and willingness to involve the team with the clubs infrastructure.
