PRIDE PARK BRANCH IS A FOOTBALL FIRST
Derbyshire Building Society has become Derby County's latest big name summer signing at Pride Park after announcing plans to open a new branch at the stadium.
Branch DCFC will be a football first as the only building society branch of its kind in the country when it opens its doors in time for the big Premier League kick-off in August.
Situated next door to shopDCFC, the branch will provide new financial facilities for Rams fans and those who work at more than 500 businesses in and around Pride Park.
There will be an ATM machine and a cash withdrawal and deposit counter service, where customers will be able to access the society's full range of mortgage, savings and insurance products, advice and services.
Customers of Derbyshire IFS, the society's independent financial advice subsidiary, will also benefit from its convenient location, private interview rooms and excellent car parking.
Rory Slater, director of affinities for Derbyshire Building Society, said: "We are delighted to be expanding our branch network in Derby and contributing to the successful ongoing development of Pride Park.
"In a climate where other financial services providers are closing branches, this is a pioneering and innovative commitment to the people of Derby, fans of Derby County and the hundreds of employees who work in this fast developing business area.
"As the club's main sponsor, Branch DCFC will further strengthen our relationship with Derby County as it embarks on a new era in English football's top flight.
"We believe this branch, like Derby County, is a real winner and will be a top of the league facility for people seeking to achieve their financial goals."
Derby County chairman Peter Gadsby added: "Derbyshire Building Society and Derby County Football Club have enjoyed a thriving partnership over the years - and this new development takes things to the next level.
"At a time when many organisations across their country are closing local branches, for the society to be opening up a new one in such an environment as Pride Park shows how strong both parties are.
"Both organisations have their roots within the county so this is the next logical step to develop links even further.
"Branch DCFC will be more than just a service for Derby County - its location means it is best-placed to serve the ever-developing Pride Park area and beyond.
"Running our personal finances can be a difficult task but having access to The Derbyshire's services right on their doorstep will make life a whole lot easier for so many people.
"This extension of our relationship with the society comes at an exciting time for the club and further cements our top-flight status, both on and off the field."
