KALLUM IS KEANE FOR EURO TRIP
Teenager Kallum Keane is heading to Turkey as part of the Republic of Ireland squad for this summer's European U17 Championships.
The 16-year-old played a key role as Ireland qualified for the finals last month and he has been given another chance to continue his form.
Keane, who will become a full-time scholar in Derby's Academy from next season, is seen by the Irish as a "no-nonsense centre-half and a towering presence at the back".
Though born in Nottingham, Keane qualifies to play for the Republic of Ireland through his grandparents.
Ireland are in Group B of the two-group tournament, alongside France, Switzerland and defending champions Spain.
They meet the French on May 4, Switzerland three days later and wrap their group fixtures up against Spain on May 10.
The top two teams from each group go through to the semi-finals.
