Academy goalkeeper Ross Atkins is still awaiting his international debut after sitting on the bench during England's two U19 fixtures over the weekend.

But he still has a third chance to get on and taste the international game with one more fixture to go and qualification already secured.

England got their UEFA Qualifying Tournament games underway on Friday night by hammering Iceland 5-1 at Doncaster on Friday night.

And they followed that up by going one better and putting six without reply past Romania in Sunday's clash at Scunthorpe.

Derby-born Atkins, 17, was an unused substitute in both games with Middlesbrough's Jason Steele taking the number one shirt.

England have now secured their place in next year's Elite European Championship Qualifying Round with their two wins.

They close their initial programme by hosting Belgium at Barnsley on Wednesday night.
