YOUNG DUO GET THE CALLS
Academy goalkeeper Ross Atkins has the opportunity to make his international debut this month after being called up to the England U19 squad.
Atkins has been included in Brian Eastick's plans for the forthcoming UEFA Qualifying Tournament that sees the Young Lions play Iceland, Romania and Belgium.
The Derby-born 17-year-old is a second-year scholar with the Rams' Academy and has been in fine form for the U18 team this season.
Atkins has previously played reserve-team football while still a schoolboy and has been on the bench for the second-string this season.
He is yet to make his England bow but was an unused substitute for his country's U18 side in August last year.
Middlesbrough's Jason Steele is the only other goalkeeper for games against Iceland at Doncaster Rovers' Keepmoat Stadium (October 12), Romania at Scunthorpe United's Glanford Park (October 14) and Belgium at Barnsley's Oakwell ground on October 17.
And striker Henrik Ojamaa will be jetting off to join up with the Estonian U17 squad.
